
Dr. Kitagawa served as the 14th ISDE President: During Presidency he helped the society become the premier multidisciplinary international organization focused on esophageal diseases. At that time, its biennial congress aimed to gather all specialties involved in the clinical management and research of patients with esophageal diseases.
