The Program Committee of 13th World Congress of the International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus is inviting the submission of abstracts. Authors are asked to submit abstracts under one of the following categories:
- Benign disease:
- Barrett’s esophagus: pathology and pathopysiology
- Barrett’s esophagus: noninvasive neoplasia: diagnosis and treatment
- Eosinophilic esophagitis
- Esophageal function testing
- Esophageal motility disorders
- Esophageal sensitivity and hypersensitivity
- Esophageal surgery
- Gastro-esophageal reflux disease
- Genetics of esophageal disease
- Hiatal hernia
- Iatrogenic esophageal disease, perforation and postsurgical complications
- New technologies
- Pediatric esophageal disorders
- Esophageal cancer
- Surgical treatment of esophageal cancer
- Esophageal Carcinogenesis
- Role of Stem Cell in esophageal cancer
- New diagnostic modalities (including PET, PET-CT, new tracers)
- Adjuvant and neo-adjuvant therapies
- Palliative treatments
- Re-do surgery for local recurrences
- Salvage esophagectomy
- Difficult cases

Submission Guidelines:
- Research work should be innovative and of high scientific quality. Work can be presented prior to ISDE 2012, but should include new information
- Abstracts must not include identifying information such as author names, institutions, or city/country of origin. Abstracts that include identifying information will be automatically rejected.
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the Conference website
- Abstracts will be accepted in English only
- Abstracts should not exceed 250 words in length
- Abstract content entry to be divided into the four categories:
- Background (purpose)
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion (conclusions
- 1 table or 1 image may be included.
- There is no fee for submitting an abstract
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts you may submit (however an individual may not be offered more than 2 oral presentations)
- An international panel of reviewers will review all abstracts anonymously
- All Abstracts accepted by the Program Committee will be published in Diseases of the Esophagus and it is mandatory to agree to this at the time of submission
- Financial Disclosure information needs to be completed for EACH co-author at the time of submission through the online abstract submission form, however, information can be provided by the submitting author
Presenting authors of accepted abstracts are required to register for the Conference and are responsible for their own travel arrangements. Please take advantage of reduced registration fees by registering before the Early Registration Deadline on May 1, 2012
All Presenting Authors must be registered by August 1, 2012.

requested NOT to use the regular abstract submission form on the website.
ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES
Attendance certificates will be delivered on request to all registered participants at the end of each Meeting.
